The whittier backyard scene often goes unappreciated and dismissed as the place where "the same bands" play at every show. At first, I would have agreed. The Bizcuits? Gold Vine? Wanderlude??? again? But overtime, I have grown so fond of the whittier backyard DIY scene. Why? Everyone is welcoming, everyone goes out of their way to help you, and so far, I have not met one person who is doing it for the wrong reasons. Thank you Whittier, Ca for providing such a great atmosphere to create and provide creative people with self expression.
